The 2005 vintage of Amber Knolls Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon has bright aromas of cherries, cranberries, and roses. It leads into a deep layering of earthy spices, vanilla, and cocoa. It finishes with beautiful and youthful tannins, creating a nice balance of Black cherry and spice.

Harvest - Grapes were picked October 10-14, 2005 at 25.4 brix.
Vineyard - The Amber Knolls Vineyard is located in the Red Hills Appellation. The soils are extremely unique to the area and are only found in this very small appellation.
The vineyard soils are a mix of deep red volcanic clay, aggregate and obsidian.
The vineyard itself sits on a East facing slope with varying altitude from 1200 to 2000 feet. The average daytime summer temperature is 84 degrees with average nighttime temps of 51 degrees.
